Event Photography Dorset Lighthouse Loop Run Event. The Lighthouse Loop Run is an established part of the Swanage Lifeboat Week Events. Lifeboat week in Swanage sees the lifeboat crew and supporters organise many events for the entertainment of the townsfolk and visitors alike. The Lighthouse Loop Run takes Starts in Swanage and goes in a loop up to Durlston Country Park and the Lighthouse before coming back down into Swanage, a simple 5Km run.
The Swanage Lifeboat week Lighthouse loop run event is just the start of the final day of the lifeboat week.
I had chosen to stand at one of the marshalling points in Durlston Country park on the coastal path. At this point, the runners were just a little over the halfway mark and at the top of a slight hill. The distance from the start line would provide a wider spread of runners to allow a more individual approach to the photographs. The leaders were making light of the course and it was not long after the start that they appeared at my location.
Great to see so many of the Purbeck Runners taking part in the Swanage Lifeboat Week Lighthouse Loop Event.
